Grounds and Waste Management

About Us

Grounds Services is a division within the Facilities Department. Grounds employees are responsible not only for the upkeep of the university grounds but are also responsible for irrigation, landscape design, planting, and tree maintenance. Additional responsibilities include litter control, recycling, and waste management.

Mission Statement

Employees of Grounds maintain an impressively landscaped campus of 457 acres. Our mission is to preserve the aesthetics of the university landscape while promoting a safe and sustainable environment for students, faculty, and staff through tree maintenance, water efficiency, composting, recycling, and promoting drought-resistant plants.
