The Facilities Department has an intake center to process your customer request information, create work requests, and route them to the appropriate area as quickly as possible. Use FacilityFocus Customer Requests for all non-emergency requests. Most Texas State departments have one individual with an assigned login to use FacilityFocus. This prevents delay and miscommunications caused by multiple requests for the same item. For assistance with FacilityFocus or to set up a Focus login account call Cindy Voigt at 5-2824 or email FMGT@txstate.edu.

Services Provided within the Facilities Department (Physical Plant)
Facilities Management
This group of people supports the other sections of the Facilities Department in their efforts to complete the work you request. It is responsible for work generation and providing support to all groups in the organization.
Facilities Operations
This group of people provides all of the maintenance and repair of buildings, installed heating, ventilating, air conditioning, electrical, plumbing, or other special system and equipment. It is responsible for setting priorities and timeframes for doing the work.
Planning Design & Construction
This office is responsible for managing all planning studies, architectural and engineering design efforts, and construction contracts. It provides professional and technical support on all four phases of construction: programming, design, bid and construction.
Grounds Operations
Crews work year-round to maintain a beautiful campus for your enjoyment. Concern for the environment is demonstrated through activities such as composting, using drought resistant plants, etc. Additionally, we sponsor a Recycling Program for aluminum cans, paper, and cardboard.
Custodial Operations
In addition to routine, day-to-day cleaning, a variety of additional services such as special event coverage, weekend services, requests for supplies, etc. are offered.
