FSS Customer Service Awards 2008

Congrats to Custodial Operations, Arlette Campos for being nominated outside the department and selected as one of eight receipients of the 2008 FSS Customer Service Award.


Achievements

Mary Pardo, Custodial Operations Custodial Supervisor received her Association of Physical Plant Administrators certification (APPA). Congrats on all your hard work to accomplish the certification!

Custodial Operations Trainer, Regina Meitler graduated from Janitor's University and received her certification earlier this year. Way to go!

Just In Time Awards 2008

Just In Time Awards are presented to employees by the department for going above and beyond their job duties. Below is a list of those employees that received these awards, way to go team!


January 2008

Award Recipients: Ofelia Padron, Santos Pineda, Steve Williams, Maria Cruz, Debbie Govea, Olivia C. Espinoza, Ralph Balles, Marcos Hurtado, Delia Hurtado, Susie Gonzales and  Liz Mendez.
Awarded for their detailed attention to preparing ASB North and South Buildings for the Regent Amato Tour.

February 2008

Award Recipients: Olga Garza, Delfia Chavarria, Carmelita Castillo, Paula Alvarez, Connie Hughes, Sally Harris, Liz Mendez.
Awarded for their quick response in a cleanup and disinfect call at Chemistry 2nd floor due to a water leak. Employees stayed after their shifts to attend to the situation which resulted in some of them cancelling previous personal appointments and rescheduling parent/teacher conferences.  

March 2008

Award Recipient: Mary Pardo
Awarded for assisting Administrative Assistant III in maintaining office coverage during vacancy of an office position.

April 2008 

Award Recipients: Vicky Sue Daniels, Nicole Delgado, Margie Flores, Chris Miller,
Mary Pardo, Felipa Prado, Raul Rodriguez, Manuel Salinas
Awarded for going above and beyond in the area of customer service. Each of these individuals performed above their job requirements consistently throughout the year to the extent that they were nominated by their Crew Supervisor, Head Custodians, Admin III and/or the Assistant Director for the FSS Customer Service Awards. .

May 2008

Award Recipients: Victor Chavez, Guadalupe Urrutia, Jonas Villalpando, John Doria   Awarded for their hard work and quick response in preparing 2nd floor MITTE Art & Galleries and 1st floor entrances for a presidential program at the end of April.

June 2008

Award Recipient: Arlette Campos was awarded a JITA for her hardwork and dedication in creating and bringing online the Custodial Operations Departmental Website. Way to go Campos!


Kudos 2008

May-June 2008


David Garza, Custodial Operations received kudos for the floor project in M-23 from Dr. Pimentel. Good job David!

Lupe Trejo, Custodial Operations received a thank you card from staff member, Jennifer. The card was in recognition of his hard work and dedication to maintaining a clean End zone. Great job!


Margie Flores, Custodial Operations received kudos from Carolyn Pate, Director of Office of Proposal Development Office of the Associate Vice President for Research. Margie was recognized for her detailed, hard work on JCK 4th floor. In addition to her dedication she always has a smile on her face and greets everyone with a “cheery hello.” Way to go Margie!


Josie Cordero, Salvador Rodriguez, Juan Villarreal were recognized by Ruth B. Welburn, Dean, College of Health Professions for their hard work and great job on a completed floor and carpet project. Dean Welburn noted, “You have a fine team of custodians in the Health Professions Building and I appreciate all they do to keep our building looking clean. Pleased let them know how much the College of Health Professions’ faculty and staff appreciate the extra efforts.” Great job guys!

Benita Garza and David Garcia were recognized for their excellent work on the floors at Flowers Hall 217 by Tina Zigon.

Armando Vasquez and Darrell Robinson were given kudos by Dixie Burge and Colleen Copeland for going above and beyond their Custodial job duties at Art and Design. Way to go guys!

Susie Gonzales received Kudos from Sylvia Zuniga-Student Business Center JCK 1st floor for her detailed cleaning at in her department. Good job Susie!

Pinfan Zu, Assistant Professor at the English department praised Benita Garza and Brenda Cantu for the wonderful scrubbing, sealing, and waxing job that was completed in office 142 at Flowers. Great job on the floors ladies!

Dixie Burge, Administrative Assistant III in Art and Design gave kudos to midnight Custodians (Darrell Robinson, Armando Vasquez and Chris Moore) for the great Gallery Floor job that they completed at Mitte.
